The Perfect Drainback Pump/Control : VT 009
The Taco 009 circulator was specifically designed for drainback solar systems in the 1980s with very high head (30') and low flow (4gpm). The problem was that they used so much energy. The new 009VT variable speed solar circulator starts at full speed to overcome the system head but reduces speed to match the delta T requirements thus using far less energy.
